The Eramsus plus mobility project with International Hellenic University
One Week Visit of Dr. Dimitrios Theofanidis from the School of Nursing and Midwifery
The School of Nursing and Midwifery, under Erasmus Plus Staff Exchange Program with the International Hellenic University of Greece, hosted Dr. Dimitrios Theofanidis.
According to the public relations of the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Dr. Dimitrios Theofanidis, the associate professor of International Hellenic University in Thessaloniki, Greece, participated in the Erasmus exchange program in Nursing School of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, from 13th to 16th of February 2022. On the first day of his visit, Dr. Theofanidis first had a friendly meeting in the Dean office, Dr. Nikbakht and the team of international affairs deputy.
During the meeting, Dr. Seylani, welcomed Dr. Dimitrios Theofanidis and gave an overview of the school programs as well as national, regional and international capacities in various fields and negotiated for the continuing cooperation of the exchange program of staff and students under of the Erasmus Plus program.
The School introductory tour was done including, Dr Maddah Hall, Library, USERN, Students Research Center, OSCE center, Skill lab and deputies of the nursing and midwifery school and number of classrooms, the Nursing and Midwifery Research Center, Hayat and Nursing Practice Today journals. During this visit, effective interactions occurred between him and the present students and faculty members in these centers.
In the second part, Dr. Theofanidis presented a speech on Nursing education system in Greece and Dr. Pourtaghi, the Director of Educational Affairs and Post Graduate Office ,presented the nursing education system in Iran , which was attended by Vice-Dean for Education Affairs ,nursing students, faculty members and international affairs deputy team and the session was ended by the online and in-person members questions from him like the process of conducting joint research projects and having co-investigators .
On the following day, he delivered a speech on the Greek health care system and in the second part, he addressed the topic of "evidence-based care", which was welcomed by students and faculty members. On Wednesday the topics included Stroke care and Ethical dilemmas in nursing practice. The present professors at the meeting discussed their clinical experiences in relation to the raised topics .They also discussed the topic of further collaboration. At last, Dr. Theofanidis was presented with a memorial gift by the International Affairs Deputy.
