A delegation from the University of Lahore, Pakistan paid a visit to the Tehran School of Nursing and Midwifery

A delegation consisting of Dr. Muhammad Ashraf, the Chancellor of the University of Lahore, Dr. Zubair Ahmad, the Head of ENT Department, Dr. Sarfraz Masih, the Associate Professor of Nursing Department and Dr. Syed Asadullah Arslan, the Head of Rehabilitation Department paid a visit to the Tehran School of Nursing & Midwifery on November 1, 2022.

Dr. Alireza Nikbakht Nasrabadi, The School’s Dean, welcomed the delegation and referred to Pakistan as neighboring country that has many cultural similarities with Iran. He added that, the closeness and similarities gives us unique opportunity for academic international collaboration. He asserted that the Tehran School of Nursing & Midwifery is the first ranked school among 206 Nursing & Midwifery Schools of Iran.

Then, Dr. Muhammad Ashraf, the Chancellor of the University of Lahore, referred to the MOU, concluded between two Universities and expressed his hopefulness about initiation of mutual collaboration that will be the beginning of an endless cooperation in the field of research and education. He also invited the Dean of the Tehran School of Nursing & Midwifery to pay a visit to the University of Lahore.

Dr. Arpi Manookian the School’s Vice-Dean for International Affairs welcomed the delegation and delivered a brief introductory presentation on the School’s departments, short courses, activities, capabilities, number of home and international students, and educational facilities and emphasized on the mutual educational and research collaboration in various fields of nursing and midwifery.
Then, Dr. Sarfraz Masih, the Associate Professor of Nursing Department introduced the Nursing programs of undergraduate and graduate levels of the University of Lahore. In the following, the Administrative Board, the Head of the Departments and the School’s professors welcomed the delegation and discussed the topic of further mutual collaboration. 

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Alireza Nikbakht Nasrabadi was presented with a memorial gift by Dr. Muhammad Ashraf. Also, the School’s Dean presented a memorial to the members of delegation.

After the meeting, the delegation joined a tour visit of the school (Library, skill lab and OSCE center) and some photos were taken before their departure.
