The 2022 Call for Proposals of the Joint EMRO/TDR Impact Grants

The WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean (EMRO) and the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR) have announced the “2022 Call for Proposals of the Joint EMRO/TDR Impact Grants for regional priorities”. This year focus is on implementation research in infectious diseases of poverty, especially TB, malaria, STI, and neglected tropical diseases.

This call highlights the use of implementation/operational research for priority topics mentioned above. Moreover, they favor research that links more than one of these priorities, as well as involving regionally-based health care delivery and disease control programmes with research/academic institutions.

Only proposals in response to one or more of the research priorities indicated in the above web link will be considered as eligible.The eligible applicants will receive the funds equivalent to US$ 8000–$10 000 per grant and the study duration is between 6 to 9 months.

The deadline for submitting applications online is no later than 21 June 2022 – 17:00 Cairo Local Time, through the below eTDR Community Site (attached guidelines for applicants and application form). Applications that will be received after the deadline will not be considered.
